Our Aims 

  • Ensure children/young people’s rights are upheld at all times.
  • Provide the highest level of care and support which will enable young people to develop trusting relationships with adults in the house.
  • Be honest and truthful with young people, their parents / representatives and other professionals.
  • Identify a named worker who will co-ordinate all aspects of the young person’s life.
  • Produce individual person centred care plans which are reviewed monthly in conjunction with the young person, their family/carers and his or her social worker.
  • To involve young people and their families (where it is deemed appropriate) in all decisions about the young person, and listen and take note of their opinions and wishes.
  • Support young people to make suggestions or complaints about the care they are receiving in order for it to be improved.
  • To support young people in meetings they are required to attend, including LAC Reviews and Children’s Hearings.
  • Support young people to find and maintain his or her placement in school, college or work.
  • Ensure that all young people accommodated in Crannoch are supported to develop the skills necessary for moving on, whether a return home, to another more appropriate placement, or independent living.
  • Work in partnership with Local Authorities, Education and Health in the best interests of young people.
  • Provide regular progress reports for Social Workers.
